Monday, October 31, 2011 - Slow-O 1 hr, served at cellar temperature. Dark ruby toward purple core, no sign of age. Elegantly perfumed nose of black fruits, grilled herbs, a lick of vanilla, some savory. The aromas largely follow through to the medium + bodied palate. A deep vein of acids lift the meticulously layered fruit and fine-grained tannins to help make way for the next delicious slug. Anyone that has any doubts about the elegance and purity that might have been grown in the 2006 vintage of this growing area, need only taste this wine. I have two left, but wish it were more like 2 cases. Highly recommended to those looking for a polished CdR and eschew the more hedonistic bent of the 07's and 09's. Drink thru 2016, 14,5% abv, score: A-
