Friday, March 27, 2015 - Drank this one over two nights. Inky purple in the glass. Big nose leads with stem notes and follows with black fruit, asphalt, violets, olive, cracked pepper and spice. Palate has full bodied, chewy black fruit. More stems bring an exotic herb and spice note to the palate. Concentrated but not rich or heavy. Good balance. Flavors definitely leave the cool climate imprint. Only complaint is the short-ish finish.
