Friday, February 12, 2010 - Pop n pour served over 2 nights with night 1 showing the best. Light-medium garnet core with a watery edge. The nose of mushrooms, raspberry, tree bark and swee spice proved much more interesting than the palate. A bit flabby, this offers up gobs of chocolate-covered cherry, vanilla and raspberry liqueur. This is rich, generous and gulpable, but ultimately it's simple, too. To me, this represents the lower half of what RRV fruit is capable of. 14,5% abv, drink thru 2013, approx $45 (worth half that, maybe)
