Thursday, May 14, 2015 - Henri Giraud Visit (Ay, France): Nose: The nose shows off a real doughy side to it with warm bread, yeasty, apples, leesy notes, peaches, and biscuits.
Taste: Full bodied with medium/acid. Rich with a larger style backed up by warm bread, yeast tones, apples, peaches, and some leesy notes.
Overall: This is a great introduction to the Henri Giraud style. It shows off a bigger side, but it isn't overdone and has elegance to it.
