83 Points

Sunday, October 8, 2017 - Mahogany color with a bouquet and flavor hinting at dried apricots but dominated by tart acidity with moderate sweetness. Despite the age of the solera, it did not strike me as exceptional or memorable. One more dessert wine that I kept too long, again because of what I call the "d"Quem" cult. In an ideal world, all cult wines would be tasted maximally blinded, meaning blinded to even the type. This might end some of the excessive hype, and fifteen flavor-tasting notes.
