Tuesday, September 27, 2022 - A mature Pauillac by now, still slightly closed, but very fine tannins, quite restrained nose and palate, silky flow and nice secondary and tertiary notes. It somehow does not feel fully singing and has maybe a touch of harshness. Some 1998 did shed this hard character, hopefully this Haut Bages will do in the future. Let's wait a bit and see!
