Thursday, July 19, 2012 - Bottle, fill and cork all excellent. The color was light gold and bright. Aromatics very characteristic of the northern rhone, but the palette was unexciting and lacked drive. This does not have the requisite structure for longer aging and comes off a little flabby. This wine really suffered in comparison to the 1991 Chave blanc served alongside. Is it a more modern oak treatment that hurts this wine?
