Saturday, May 14, 2022 - Part of a Horizontal tasting of 1990 red Hermitage. A blend of Syrah from Beaume, Méal and les Bessards vineyards, and an incredible price compared to others in this tasting. This bottle was decanted for 30 minutes and poured into Spiegelau burg glasses for this Horizontal 90 Hermitage tasting. Medium ruby with some browning at the rim. Savage nose of tobacco and morels flowing into a viscous medium bodied palate of BBQ moose meat and dried bing cherries. Long finish of mocha and saddle leather and punching way above its price point. Best now-2040.
