94 Points

Monday, August 23, 2010 - Beautiful, beginning to brick, ruby red, starting salmon at rim. Brilliantly complex, etheric, deep and seductive cherry liqueur (in the best sense of the word) and tobacco nose. Great, vibrant, acid driven and glycerin-laden palate. Almost Bordeaux-like in it's red-fruited, dry, brambly, earthy, herbal, tobacco laden complexity. Deep, rich, long, superbly balanced, and delicious, this is what aged Draper Ridge wines are all about. Phenomenal with local, young, parmesan style cheese. Even better at the 2 hour mark. Will last for another decade at least, but at a perfect peak now. Bravo! 94 pts quality, 96 pts personal style preference.
