Sunday, September 4, 2016 - Deep dark purple garnet. Heavy nose with plenty of dark fruit and some spice along with noticeable alcohol. At 15.5% ABV this is a hugely extracted "bruiser". While reasonably balanced, this is very powerful and still young. My hope is it settles down over time as this overpowers even the strongest foods, like in this case smoked pulled pork with a tangy BBQ sauce and some added chili sauce.
