Sunday, May 24, 2015 - I agree with much of Numen's review, but I don't understand why he rated this rum only 84. This rum has notes of baking spices, vanilla, wood, grass, and molasses. It lacks the fruity intensity of good younger rums, though I usually prefer the deeper flavors that develop in spirits from long barrel aging. I don't see this rum as special, but it's quite good.
