Monday, February 16, 2009 - Lightish ruby color with slight browning on the edges. Very Burgundian nose of sweet cherries and earthy barnyard. Light-to-medium-bodied with lovely and intense earthy cherry fruit and loads of acidity. Finishes quite succulent with good grip but very dry and tongue-puckering. The fruit is lovely here but there is a certain mustiness to this wine that is both alluring and off-putting at the same time. The acidity would lead me to believe it needs more time if the fruit can hang on.
