After 24 hours the wine has softened and opened up a bit, but it remains an inky bruiser. The stuffing of ripe cherry fruit seems more than adequate however and the wine shows a full and fleshy face, with notes of dark chocolate and warm spices. Powerful, not without heat but concentrated and very long finish with a hint of demerara sugar. Bodes well but requires patience. (93)
