Saturday, July 31, 2010 - Decanted for 3-4 hours prior to drinking. It was a shock to move from the 89 Lafarge to this, from brightness to pure elegance. This goes down so easy its amazing. Incredibly massive nose of dark fruits, leather spice and in the mouth a never ending complexity of earth, fruit and coffee and smoke. I doubt that Northern Rhone gets any better than this. Definitely outclasses the 89 by a long-shot, although I would drink that any day of the week.
