Sunday, June 15, 2014 - Modern-style of Rioja that does not relinquish its past traditions. There was plenty of oak and freshly dialed acidity but it had finesse and the fruit was riper than usual but not overdone. Had the Rioja Alta 904 '01 by its side and the latter seemed fatigued and overly thin. This just needs more time to settle down.
