Tuesday, April 30, 2013 - Nose of strawberry, cherry, clove, vanilla, and a hint of cardamom. Initial flavors of strawberry, boysenberry, cherry (but not too sour, as with some W-S wines). Occasional secondary flavors of grape jelly, vanilla, custard, and some mineral notes. Well-integrated, though not much structure overall, with a dry finish. I don't think this wine is in a closed period as some have suggested, but I will wait a year to open the next bottle, as it may show slightly better then.
