Friday, July 10, 2009 - Youthful purple/black color. Creme de cassis and saddle leather with some bell pepper notes. Nose is very nice, and hints at what I love about aged bordeaux, but its on the palate that this one really sings. Nicely textured, almost syrupy with hints of grippy tannins on the back end, reminding you of what this was like as a baby. Incredible value--picked this up on winebid for $10/bottle. Four more left. This should improve with a few more years, but is drinking nicely now
