Sunday, May 22, 2011 - Second wine by San Guido which in 2007 was in top form. opened 1,5 hours in advance and areated. Served at 18 C°

Color: Ruby , medium legs
Nose: Opening of black berry and lavender with a good minerality following close by, humid earth, tar, liquorice closing with moka. medium to long finish. The wood is present but not disturbing... it is not there to hide faults.
Mouth: good acidity and medium tannins, very soft on the palate.

A mix of Cab and Merlot where the latter is more dominating. Not over complex but with many nuances evolving during the tasting. Probably the best Guidalberto so far imho. An outstanding wine for sure.
