Wednesday, September 21, 2011 - Decanted for about an hour before drinking with pasta & four cheese tomato sauce. Aroma of cranberry and tart cherry. Taste has the similar fruit, along with some strawberry and some earthiness. Has some light tannins, but feels a bit thin during the mid-palate. Had this before at tastings and had enjoyed it more before. Definitely worked better with food, not unlike most Italian wines.
