Sunday, June 24, 2012 - Very nice nose of provencale herbs, a mossy/earthy element and just the barest hint of dried red fruits. The nose has really evolved over the last couple of years, moving away from the ripe fruit-driven profile of youth and the vintage towards the more classic notes of Chateauneuf. On the palate, it's medium bodied with a mid-palate of dried fruit and a gritty, rustic finish showing dried herbs and a nice earthy complexity. Anyone who thought that the '07's were all just fruit bombs should try this wine......I will probably wait another year to crack my next bottle and then drink the remaining over the next 3-5 years....this is tasty wine and once the tannins soften on the end, it will be even better.
