90 Points

Monday, July 12, 2010 - Very deep red-purple color. Opens a bit hot but that goes into the background as the wine opens. Beautiful rich spicy nose with ripe plums and blackberries. Plums and lovely spice on the palate showing the American oak a bit. Medium bodied with a little tannin, ripe but avoids any pruniness. The wine has gained in complexity over the last year and is really starting to show its stuff. Nice medium length finish. Really delicious with roast duck breast with wild mushrooms. What Paso Zin is all about!

Delicious now and room for improvement over the next couple of years. 90+
