Friday, July 15, 2011 - Translucent crimson. Nose of oak, fruit and spice. Dark cherry and blueberry fruit with the oak showing only in the background. Medium texture and nicely balanced tannins and acidity. A little plusher than many but still a classic Rioja. Definitely in a prime drinking window. Only 13% alcohol and food friendly. We loved it with our Pasta alla Puttanesca. Excelente.
