Saturday, August 27, 2016 - Alcohol fumes right out of the bottle settled down over an hour or so into vanilla/oak, chocolate, and some savory notes. Beautiful color in glass- reddish-purple fading to orange at edges. Dark berries on the front-end. More acid on the mid-palate than I would have expected at this point. Tannins fairly well integrated. Medium-length finish that begins with some unpleasant bitter notes. Much better with the nicely grilled sirloin than on its own. Would not hold longer.
