Wednesday, March 4, 2009 - In the old days Gamay was very common, nowadays it is rare in Burgundy. That makes this wine from gamay grapes from a vinyard next to Clos Vougeot very special. It shows what good terroir can do with Gamay. Beaujolais like red fruit with Burgundy earthy tones, not complex, but very pleasurable. A little too short at the finish. Excelllent quality for price.
