Friday, March 20, 2009 - My first Albarino! I thought it tasted like Riesling but it's smoother and muted. Acidity is okay but I wish it's ramped up a bit. This has a common problem with CA rieslings: disjointed transitions between mid palate and back end. Too much heat and bitterness. I could drink a couple of glasses of this on the novelty of my first Albarino, but I don't think I'll be seeking for it actively.
