Thursday, October 1, 2015 - A really nice find, this 2007 for around $12 really over delivers, while bringing a nice dose of maturity to a red wine still vibrant and fruity. Deep dark red color. The nose is very fruity, almost like a Petit Sirah, but also with a hint of raisin. Nicely aged and integrated, the entrance is quite dry. Red raspberry, dark cherry, cassis, and blackberry pie flavors. The acid, tannins and oak have had enough structure to hold things together this long and still have some life left. Smooth, mouth coating lingering tannin, graphite, licorice and tar with the fruit on the finish.
