Friday, April 15, 2022 - Sure, it's a bit oak-y but that didn't take away from this excellent bottle of aged cabernet. I will admit, I mostly drink French and Italian wine but Ridge just does it for me. I expected an over the hill bottle but it was anything but. The cork was perfect and the wine had all the familiar notes of Ridge...some oak, some sweet black fruit, leather. Tannins are gone but there is still a lot of life left in this bottle. I just dont see how it can improve.
