92 Points

Monday, June 22, 2009 - Decanted and served immediately. Has thrown a fine sediment.
Still dark red and fresh looking. Plummy fruit, oak, black olive, and a hint of menthol in the nose.
Bit hot at first, but soon not noticeable. Lots of primary fruit remains, though lacking in focus and definition.
A pleasant herbal character added complexity. (When I found out that there is Cab Franc in the mix, that made sense)
Tannins are resolved. The relatively low acidity indicates to me that despite the strong current showing, the remaining wine should be consumed in the next few years.
If I had a lot, I'd keep one to see what develops.
