Sunday, March 12, 2017 - Quite a light gold color, obviously well preserved; very bright and clear. The nose follows the suggestion of the color, with very fresh aromas of mandarin orange, slate, and the flattering touches of honey, petrol and white floral. The palate continues the freshness, with a medium body that offers textbook flavors, layers and structure. I don't recall ever having this wine in this vintage before, and I have to say, 17 years on, wow, did I get lucky with this pristine bottle - it made a wonderful impression. Finishes long, composed with the perfect amount of lift. No such thing as great wines, or great bottles, just (got lucky with) good corks. Thru 2024. recommended

Served non-blind. Excellent food wine.
