92 Points

Monday, April 27, 2015 - Popped and poured. Darker ruby hue. Nose of damp cellar, forest floor, black raspberry, anise, violets, cinnamon. Big, boisterous flavors of black cherry, raspberry, dark plum, and soy laced with rock and iron as befits NSG, but darn if there wasn't a satin lushness to the palate also. Vibrant acidity and structured tannins balancing the display of almost primary fruit. Long, sappy finish of red and dark fruit, rock, and grip. Super experience with this exuberant young wine.
