Saturday, April 16, 2011 - This wine displays a wonderful combination of maturity and youthfulness. This is aging as (or better than) expected. The aromatics offer a complex, detailed blend of black cherry, plum, spice, earth, mocha and floral notes. The color remains a youthful medium to dark ruby. The medium bodied palate provides balance, depth and lengthy finish. This is a complete wine that is at or around maturity. This is not likely to improve with additional bottle age, but with this showing, the should continue to drink well for many years.
