Wednesday, December 22, 2010 - This is a very classic Rheingau riesling. Mr. Eser explained to me that this was meant to be a Großes Gewächs, but spent a little too much time in fermentation, so that it didn't fulfill the Großes Gewächs criteria anymore. There's peach, apricots and a little flintstone in the nose, it's very elegant. A slightly yeasty note disappeared quickly. On the palate, the Retro Domos is full and round with a little sugary tail. I like this, but it lacks a bit of personality.
