Wednesday, July 6, 2011 - Not like most '06 Napa cabs in that the tannins are more subtle. I have had two bottles now (first, popped & drank), and the second I put through the Vinturi and let sit in the decanter for about an hour -- it really seemed to bring the wine together into a more smooth well-balanced drink. Deep purple color, nice early ripe dark fruit, oak is there in just the right amount, not as much heat as would be expected at close to 15% EtOH, and a pretty nice lingering slightly tangy finish.
