Friday, April 5, 2019 - This is either a slightly badly kept bottle or the wine is at its last legs. Definitely we feel with Spottswoode if the conditions of cellaring are not pristine it does not age as well as its peers.
The wine felt like it lived an exuberant youth, ripe and rich and full and now with the fruit sort of turning its loosing its charm and elegance. Still on the healthy side and quite an enjoyable wine but nowhere near to the level this wine commanded we believe 5 years ago. 91 from us
