Thursday, July 2, 2015 - A stunning bottle, everything I could want in a well-aged CdP, though I suspect this may get even better over time. Pop 'n poured, but not shy in the least. The bouquet was intoxicating: bay leaf, rich red and black berries, pepper, fennel and just enough gamey funk to keep it interesting. Add cassis and kirsch notes and more spice on the palate, pure silk and creaminess. Concentrated, complex and perfectly balanced, with sweet, soft, seamlessly integrated tannins and a touch of garrigue on the killer finish, at least a minute long.
