Saturday, January 22, 2011 - Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux 2008 Tasting (The Barker Hangar – Santa Monica, CA): Really gorgeous ripe aromas just waft out of the glass with floral notes of currants, spices, and minerals. The palate is equally fine with sweet juicy fruit, tremendous mineral thrust, and a unique cinnamon note on the finish. The balance is stunning already with cohesion between all components. What a strong effort from this estate in a more forward yet charming style.
