Monday, November 16, 2015 - Clarence's Birthday 2015 (Extra Space): Aired in decanter for 30 minutes.
Appearance is clear, deep intensity, purple colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of blackcurrant, black plums, earth, tobacco, leather. Developing.
On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium alcohol (13%), chewy mouth-coating high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of blackcurrant, black plums, black cherries, earth, tobacco, leather, and cassis. No greenness here. Long finish.
Very good quality. Dense and brooding. This is built for the long haul. Hold for another 8 years at least to get more development out of this.
