Open, sensuous aromas of blackberry, wet earth, and graphite, then a huge complex attack with proper structure and all kinds of different flavors followed by a tannic,though gently so, long finish. Tasted at the winery after the 2006, which was also a GREAT wine but clearly demure in comparison.
