Sunday, January 30, 2022 - A most satisfying drink but it does need to be decanted at least 2 hours before consumption at the moment.

Quite muted and dull at first, what struck me was the balance and proportion of the wine. Fine tannin, clean acid, supple and racy body. Upon opening, a typical Yarra Valley cabernet emerged for me - not too much fruit but leaning towards blackcurrant / cassis aroma, the body had shades of berries, white pepper with an undertone of mint but not outrageously so. Finish was long and rounded.

I suspect this can go a long way. Drink now or 15+ years.
