Sunday, August 28, 2016 - The second "claret" of the evening from Pauillac. A fairly typical blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Dark ruby red colour. Nose of slightly ripe, black fruits with a touch of spice and pepper. Palate experiences dark berries, some coffee, touch of chocolate and well-represented tannins. A reasonably pleasant blend of power and elegance. We definitely enjoyed the drop, but wondered out-loud if another four years or so would have done her more justice.
