Thursday, November 21, 2013 - We decanted the wine for 45 minutes before we poured the first glass. It was medium to dark ruby in colour and offered black currant, cherry, blackberry, plum, leather, tobacco, cedar box and gamy notes on the nose. On the palate the wine showed black currant, cherry, plum and leather, paired with medium-plus prominent acidity, medium-plus fine tannin and good length. Overall the medium-bodied, medium complex, medium-concentrated wine was reasonably balanced; the acidity, however, was not integrated well and stood out. A little disappointing.
