Saturday, November 4, 2023 - Decanted 1.5 hours. Medium dark red and purple black base color with some browning / bricking consistent with age. This wine is in its optimal second stage with tertiary characteristics very evident. Cassis, black cherry, touch of coffee, leather, plum and spice box. Well-integrated tannins and good acidity, and it lighter (in a good way) than typical Napa cabs. 14.1% abv. I would drink to 2027. It could go longer than that but I am not sure there would be a significant incremental improvement. (D's and K's wedding shower)
