Wednesday, September 22, 2010 - This was a special at the local wine shop and carried USA health warnings, so obviously originally intended for export. Colour and aroma was typical of a Barossa Shiraz that is ready to drink and this was confirmed on the palate with blackfruit flavours. Tannins were medium to low, however it had an acid bite and certainly was not a balanced wine. While acceptable perhaps with a meal it is a wine that will not improve with age and there are far better examples at better price points than this. In all disappointing.
