Sunday, March 10, 2019 - NOSE: M intensity, leads with wet earth and stone, violets, black cherry, hint of savory secondary aromas, vanilla; PALATE: M+ body, black cherry compote, blackberries and violets, grippy M+ tannins arrive mid-palate, M- acidity, M++ alc shows through on heated finish (14.5% ABV), M cplx. OVERALL: A 3-bottle value BDX aging experiment. Drank one in 2014 and another in 2018. Feels it's more bred to drink at release (high ABV), aromatically complex, palate feels a bit out of balance now.
