Wednesday, February 24, 2016 - Nose: Perfumed Blackberry, Raspberry, floral elements and spice. A bit of barnyard adds earthy components. Atomized nose. Palate: Fine red fruit that was showing quite fresh. Gorgeous mineral notes in the mid-palate with cherry/berry fruits. Finish: detailed with minerals, sweet earth, dark berries and a mature grace.

Overall this was a much more nuanced wine than the 99 Champans served alongside. Suspicious that the Champans was not 100% tonight.
