There are sweet flavors of black raspberry jam, but with a totally dry mouthfeel (not thick, cloying, oozy, etc.). As such, tastes like a black tea with raspberry. This is much better than other bottles I've had of this wine. Not complex, nor deep, just drinking lovely in a light-bodied and refreshing package that is so rare for zinfandel. A crowd-pleaser.
