Wednesday, August 15, 2012 - What a great bottle of wine. After 14 years it still smells fresh with lovely fruity undertones and a deep red colouring. The first bottle was decanted for an hour or so and was sublime. Subtle berry and fresh fruit coated the palate with a lingering taste that held for 30 seconds or more. Super fine tannins suffused the wine but it not what not particularly dry, this was a very nice bottle from the famous '98 vintage, and is probably nearing it's peak.
