Thursday, June 11, 2015 - Still quite fresh, purple appearance. Quite jammy (raspberry jam) nose, pronounced with some chocolate and sweet spice notes. Good balanced palate, dark fruits on the attack and then the secondary notes take over in the finish with cedar and cigar box. It is light in the mid-palate and finish but it is drinking excellently. The kind of wine you could drink bottles and bottles of. Superb value although I do suspect this is an excellent bottle. Lanessan - when good - is extraordinary value.
