Thursday, December 31, 2020 - Drank on NYE for my wife's 35th birthday. Cork was soaked 75% through and came out in two pieces. Decanted for sediment and served about 20 minutes later. I am a complete novice with wines of this age, so this tasting was a first for me. Tertiary notes of tobacco and leather on the nose. Not much tannin. Drank over two hours. I won't give it a score due to my inexperience with bottles like this, but it was delicious and a good showing to me what a perfectly aged old world bottle should taste like.
