Friday, September 10, 2010 - This wine holds up its end of the bargain with respect to terroir. It was presented in double-blind fashion to our tasting group, having kindly been provided by Ken Johnson. The guesses as to the wine's identity were all nearly spot-on with respect to varietal and appellation. The robe is opaque black/purple. The nose shows quite intense aromas of cassis, vanilla, plums and spice. Full-bodied on the palate, with low acidity, big sweet tannins and a creamy mouth feel. The flavors are in line with the nose and the middle palate is solid. The finish is long and smooth. Very nice Napa Cabernet which won't be confused with Bordeaux. Drink now-12/20.
